Time is very short to determine if we are going to stand together. The plan is you can join as a pledge until a member approves your membership. Some might not understand the reason to be so selective, but it is key. As we grow we will be able to command a higher fee and get greater benefits such as discounted E & O, by buying in volume.
Just remember this, the union will go to the mat for you if you are right. But if you are going to pursue an area in the business that is real fraud, do not join. I say real because according the the secretary in Montgomery, if you make a mistake on a report it is fraud. From here on we are going after them as a board and personally whenever we can... The Southland Appraisers AMC will set out rules.
1. The appraisers is paid $350 conventional and $400 for FHA within 30 days.
2. The members of Southland Appraisers Union will be given first choice on all orders.
3. Appraisers will will spread the word to all lenders that there is a new AMC in town
and it is selected certified appraisers.
